Dear Blog Readers,
We are currently on the Allure of the Seas and are in Cozumel today, although we did not get off the ship. This is the 5th day of our cruise, and we have been using it as a recovery cruise, since we both are still suffering with colds and we have had very little energy. This is the same cold that I acquired the last few days of our Oasis transatlantic back to Ft. Lauderdale from Rotterdam nearly a month ago!!! Elaine caught it about 10 days ago, and is blaming me, of course. We both are feeling a bit better and are not coughing as much, but just the fact that we area' over it by now is frustrating.
Sunday we get off the ship and will return to Doug White's place in Ft. Lauderdale for 2 nights. He is on a different cruise and will return Monday. Then he will drive us to get our car, which is being repaired by an old friend of his. That means we can then get our RV out of storage, where it has been since August 27, and can start living in it again. Doug has been hosting us off and on between cruises and Europe trips, and we have greatly appreciated his hospitality and friendship.
The plan is to head over to Tampa, to visit Colleen and David DeForest, some other cruise friends. Additionally, we will be flying from Tampa to New Orleans in early December to do 2 cruises on the Serenade with RV friends.
I have been going through all the pictures we took on our transatlantic cruises to and from Europe, as well as all the travels we did in Spain and France while we were over there. As soon as I have enough energy, I will post a blog or two about our adventures there.
In the meantime, we are sending hugs and hoping that everyone reading this has an enjoyable Thanksgiving.
Hugs, Mary and Elaine
